Especially if you want to do like others have chosen to and try to build replicas of your favourite cities, like Los Santos in Grand Theft Auto V, though I don’t think I would have the patience to do that myself. Yes, the achievements may turn off but that is a little price to pay. Letting the player choose to cheat like this so that they can have more enjoyment in my eyes is fair. Having Mods like this is something that I love Cities: Skylines for, because there is an understanding there that people are playing the games for fun.
Though in truth mods that add unlimited money are way more interesting. We already see this sort of thing build into consoles, so if needed, they could be added in with mods like these. These could even include functionality like those found in a parental control app to control and protect what kids do in games and online. Mods can be made to do many things, and add functions to the game that we didn’t even know we needed. The fact is though we are cheating, so we can’t expect to gain achievements too really now can we?
For fans of gaining their achievements so that you can show them off to the world and let people see just how good you are at the game, this may disappoint them. When these mods are chosen you are given a warning at the bottom of the Content Manager options that they will turn off the Steam Achievements. You can also play online pokies real money there.
